Employment Transportation-Coming Soon

Eligibility Overview

Employment transportation assistance is available for:

  • People in Clark county who have low income, including seniors and people with disabilities.

  • Trips to employment sites, job training, job searches, job interviews, childcare, and other work-related activities.
     

How to get transportation

  • Step 1: Meet with your referring agency, to get a referral for the Employment Transportation program. Your referral agency will send it in for you.

  • Step 2: Employment Transportation will review your eligibility and needs, and arrange for the lowest-cost transportation that's best suited to your abilities.

Contact your referring agency each month you need transportation. Take your job search log and income information back to the agency who referred you, and they will re-evaluate your eligibility.
 

Bike to Work

Individuals interested in this program are screened through one of our employment partner agencies. The Bike to Work Program offers qualified individuals the following:

  • Bicycle

  • Helmet

  • Bike lock

  • Bike accessories

  • A 2 hour bicycle training and safety course, which includes:

    • Basic bike laws and good biking manners

    • Route finding/map reading

    • Basic bike usage and maintenance

    • Group bike ride

Some participants may be eligible for bus passes to combine with the use of their bike to get to their employment-related destinations.

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation-Coming Soon

​Eligibility/Overview

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services are available for:

  • Clients in Clark County Only

Typical services can include:

  • Primary Care

  • Behavioral Health

  • Urgent Medial Care

  • Dental

  • Dialysis

  • Specialty Medical Care

Please call 911 for emergency situations or transportation to the Emergency Room.

When you request a ride, we work with you and your medical provider to determine the type of transportation most suited to your abilities. We then locate the lowest-cost option given your needs, and arrange for service with one of our providers. The most common types of transportation available include:

  • Bus passes

  • Door-to-door rides
     

Scheduling a Ride

To allow us time to schedule your ride, call our office at least two business days before a scheduled medical appointment. We can take requests up to 14 days in advance. Transport to urgent appointments may be scheduled on an "as available" basis. If you need to cancel a ride, please call us as soon as possible, but at least two business hours before your scheduled pick-up time.

When you call us for a ride, we’ll let you know when you need to be ready to be picked up. Your ride may arrive up to 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time. For shared rides, you may be asked to be ready earlier than you expect. Unexpected delays may occur due to extreme traffic congestion, road construction or weather conditions.

What to have when you call:

  • Date of birth

  • Your Provider One ID number

  • Your pick-up address

  • The name, address and phone number of your medical destination

  • Your appointment date(s) and time(s)

  • The medical reason for your appointment

  • Information on any assistive equipment or mobility devices you use

During evenings and weekends, our transportation vendors can also provide trips to non-life-threatening urgent care, as well as rides home from a hospital stay. Please call our office for after-hours contacts.

If you need to cancel a ride, please call us as soon as possible, but at least one day before your scheduled pick-up.

Eligibility/Overview

Reserve-A-Ride services may be available to residents of Clark County and are:

  • Persons with a disability, or

  • Older adults

We provide transportation for individuals to:

  • Life-sustaining medical appointments

  • If funding allows we can also provide transportation for:

    • General medical appointments

    • Education facilities

    • Shopping

    • Meal sites

    • Basic services

    • Socialization opportunities

Sponsor-a-Ride Transportation

Sponsor-A-Ride is dedicated to offering transportation for community members who are not otherwise eligible for other transportation assistance programs, while providing friends, family, and the community an easy way to contribute to ride costs.

When you request a ride, we find the type of transport best suited to your abilities, locate the lowest-cost option given your needs, and arrange for service with our providers. The most common types of transportation services include:

  • Door-to-door rides

  • Bus passes

We can arrange transportation for individuals or groups to:

  • Healthcare appointments

  • Grocery shopping

  • Shopping centers

  • Recreational activities
